What kind of sports are suitable for someone with a thin body type?

People are telling me that because I am skinny, there are some sports I just cannot play and some that I can do? Can someone give me a list of those Sports?

Maybe long-distance running–indeed, most types of track and field events. Perhaps tennis or soccer or swimming.

I’m 17 and have played basketball and volleyball. I’ve also done some martial arts. None of the sports I have done so far have really been activities that I love. I go to a 5A high school so I can’t just walk on to a school team. Do you have any suggestions for Sports I can try?

tennis might be something that you’d like to try out and it’s pretty easy to learn

I’ve never taken the course, but I do have a marketing background. Marketing involves communicating with consumers. In the case of sports marketing it involves get consumer to buy more sports stuffs….ie) tickets, jerseys, anything that has a logo or "brand" on it.

Sports management would involve contracts, dealing with talent, managing workers ie. Sports talent etc.

How important are extracurricular activities and playing sports to getting into college? I was told that if you don’t play a sport in high school, then you don’t have much of a chance to getting into college.

You were told falsly. EXTRA CIRRICULARS are important on a college resume, sports are only one type of an extra cirricular. Without extra cirriculars, unless you are the smartest kid in your class of X in the United states…your application is much weaker. Admission deans LOVE kids who are involved outside of school.

Sports, volunteering, plays, boyscouts, school newspaper, clubs….only a few examples of extra cirriculars. You don’t need to play sports as I said before, those are only one kind of extra cirriculars.

We make fun of dumb athletes, but most sports require some level of mental focus for the athlete to be good at it. But what are some Sports for complete idiots?

I think those strongman contests where they carry refrigerators and such is one contender. Maybe the 100-meter dash.

Curling. I think that anyone can use a broom to scrub the ice in front of that big cement thing that is sliding on the ice.

I mean seriously, how can that even be a sport?

Today and tomorrow, there are a total of ZERO games played in the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball!!!

Tonight, I’m going to 24 Hour Fitness to play some basketball. Tomorrow, I have to work through the late evening, so I won’t have time to watch Sports anymore. How about you?

What competitive sports or competitions can women enter after the age of 35?

Most Sports and/or competitions require that you begin young. Gymnastics, dance, ect are a few. However, are there any sports that women can begin over the age of 35, and still compete? I’m open to any and all possible competitions. Something physical and competitive.
NOTE: I’m looking for sports/competitions that I could START after the age of 35, without ANY experience, and eventually reach competition level.

I need to cite an article that has some sort of statistics on this topic. Any statistic like: how many sports are offered to students in school, or how many Sports can be seen on television throughout the year.

I would check out the website for the National Federation of High Schools to see what they list, as well as check out the 51 state high school associations (Iowa has two) to see what they sanction. As far as what’s on TV, try searching for the Neilsen Ratings organization, as it will show you what we watch.
