Time Education!

Interested in Learning More about Internet Marketing Try Commission Blueprint 2.0 here.

Financial education is important for various reasons. For example, financial education helps me to identify risks so that I can avoid financial traps such as the use of future money from credit cards on luxury items. By using my future money, essentially I will be depriving myself of the chance to invest in assets that will generate passive income. Passive income is the key to creating wealth, as I have understood from the book Rich Dad Poor by Robert Kiyosaki. Also, I will need to pay large amount of compounding interest for my outstanding credit cards bills.

I have heard a lot about financial education but I rarely heard anything on time education. Yes, I have heard about time management but there is a difference between time management and time Education. Time management is invented for busy people to manage their time. It is not meant for people who have a lot of spare time. For people who have a lot of spare time, time management does not make sense at all!

What do I mean by time education? Time education educates one on how to make full use of one’s time. It should include investment, risk management and time management just like financial education. The purpose of time education is so that one makes the best use of one’s time to realize one’s potential.

Time is a limited resource that is always draining away whether I make full use of it or not. In that sense, it is even more precious than money. Time and money is the only two available things that I can invest to create wealth based on what I had learned from the Rich Dad’s series by Robert Kiyosaki. Yet, there is no full syllabus on time education. Sometime, I wish that there were such a thing as a compulsory time education where I am taught on all aspects about time.

What are the aspects about time that I will like to learn from time education?

Firstly, I like to learn that I can earn passive time similar to the way that I can earn passive income. Using an asset that can speed up or automate a manual process, I am able to gain passive time. For example, I can leave my washing machine running while I do other things. I can reduce my washing time using the washing machine as compared to manual washing of my clothes.

Secondly, I like to learn that there is a compounding interest for time too! For example, if I am interested to learn violin. I will invest my time to learn and practice violin consistently. After the first year, my skills maybe below average. After the second year, my skills will progress because of my consistent time investment to learn and practice. After a number of years of consistent time investment, there will reach a point where I will have a break through. My skills will reach a superb level. This is like having a compounding return based on the time invested.

It will be great if there is a time projection chart that can give me a guideline on how much time I need to invest to reach a particular goal. For examples, if I want to be a superb violinist, I will need to invest 10 years of time to learn and practice. If I want to be a millionaire, I will need to invest 15 years of time to learn and practice. If I want to be a top golfer, I will need to invest 12 years of time to learn and practice.

This is like doing a projected return for my financial investments. Before I do any investment, I will like to know the projected return of the investment. For example, if fund A gives me a greater amount of projected return compared to fund B, I will probably choose to invest in fund A if the risk involved is the same. Similarly, if there is a time projection chart, I will want to choose the investment with best return.

Thirdly, I will like to know about the dangers of time wastage. If I waste my time, what are the dangers that I need to face? For example, if I do not plan for my retirement early, then I will loss the advantage of earning compounding interest for my financial investment. The danger will be that I may not have enough money for retirement.

Another example is that if I do not exercise regularly, then I will loss the advantage of building a Healthy body. In the long terms, I face the danger of falling sick easily. This will cause me to loss time because I need time to recover. Also, I will loss money because I need to pay for my medical bills.

These are just some of the aspects of time education that I can think of at the moment. It is definitely more than just time management. Though I agree that financial education is important as gathered from Rich Dad’s series by Robert Kiyosaki, I also feel that time education is just as important.

Vocational Education, Right Choice for Your Future

Posted by admin | 01/09/10 | Tagged Education

Interested in Learning More about Internet Marketing Try Commission Blueprint 2.0 here.

Vocational Education and Training (VET) is also called Vocational training and Career and Technical Education (CTE)). It gets learners ready for careers based on manual or practical activities, traditionally non-academic and those related to a specific trade, occupation or vocation; hence the term, in which the learner participates.

Oftentimes, it is called technical education, since the learner directly develops expertise in a particular group of techniques or technology. Vocation and career are usually used interchangeably. Vocational education may be compared to education in a typically broader scientific field. This may focus on theory and abstract conceptual knowledge, characteristic or tertiary education. Vocational education is usually at the secondary or post-secondary level. It, normally, interacts with the apprenticeship system of skills enhancement.

Till the end of the 20th century, vocational education concentrated on specific trades such as, for instance, an automobile mechanic or welder. Hence, it was related to the activities of lower social classes. As a result, it was associated with a sort of stigma and vocational education got linked to the traditional and conventional apprenticeship routine of learning. But as the labor market got more focused and economies started to stipulate higher levels of skill, governments and businesses started increasingly investing in the future of vocational education.

This is done through publicly funded training organizations and financially supported apprenticeship or trainee schemes for businesses. At the post-secondary level vocational education is normally provided by institutes of technology, or by local community colleges. In the 20th century Vocational education got extremely diversified. It now exists in industries such as Retail, tourism, information technology, funeral services and cosmetics, as well as in the traditional crafts and cottage industries.

Online Education

There are several terms for online education. A few of them are: virtual education, online education, distance education, Internet Education, web-based education, and education via computer-mediated communication. Essentially, online education is characterized by:

1. The separation of teachers and learners that differentiates it from one on one education
2. The impact of an educational organization that differentiates it from self-study and private tutoring
3. The use of a computer networks to provide or dispense educational content
4. The offer of two-way communication through a computer network so that students may profit from communication with each other, teachers, and staff

E-learning

E-learning is classified as interactive learning. In this type of learning the content is made available online and gives automatic feedback to a students learning activities. Online communication with real people might or might not be included. However, the aim of e-learning is normally more on the learning content than on communication between tutors and students.

Forex Education – Work Smart not Hard to Succeed

Interested in Learning More about Internet Marketing Try Commission Blueprint 2.0 here.

I read a lot about FOREX education and how it is essential to succeed and of course this is true, but most people don’t really understand what they should learn and how to do it.

So here are some guidelines, on how to work smart and not hard to achieve FOREX trading success.

When you are looking for FOREX education you can get most of it for free on the net.

Don’t be tempted to buy e-books or “sure fire” trading methods from guru’s.

Why?

Because the FOREX education they offer is normally going to cost you and it’s not worth the money.

Most of it is written by great salesman (with great copy) or failed brokers.

In most cases, if it was that good they wouldn’t be selling it; they would keep quite and make money for themselves.

Harsh but true!

If you do want to buy from a guru on the web make sure they have a real time track record that has made money and not a simulation.

The good news is:

There is a huge resource of information on the web you can tap into and it’s all free.

As a novice trader you can learn everything about technical analysis and indicators and see how they have performed in real time.

You can also find lots of material on the traits of successful traders and how you can acquire these traits to make money.

You can then build a trading system for free from this FOREX education and even learn how to apply it.

Paid education that is worth the money.

Look no further than an online bookstore.

There are many great books you can buy from traders who have made money.

Unlike the guru’s on the net who rely on hyped sales copy these guys don’t need to:

They have made real money and lots of it.

There are many books to choose from but here are some of my favourites after reading several hundred over the last 18 years:

1. Market Wizards – Jack Shwager ( Edit )

This book is interviews with some of the all time great traders and allows you to tap into and learn from the best.

Quite simply, inspiring and essential FOREX education.

2. Trader Vic – Victor Sperandeo

Perhaps my favourite book of all time.

EVERYTHING you need to know about devising a plan for profit is in this book.

From the essentials of a trading plan, to money management and how to acquire discipline to stick with your plan and achieve trading success.

Again, essential FOREX education.

Other authors to check out are:

John Murphy (for his writing’s on technical analysis) Max Günter (check him out for some un conventional money making tips!) Jake Bernstein (great insight into the mindset you need to win) and finally, William Gallagher’s excellent book Winner Takes All – A very entertaining read.

There are many more but the above will give you some great FOREX education.

My own view in terms of FOREX education is to get all the info for free of the net to construct and implement your plan.

Then round it off with some FOREX education from traders who have been their, done it and made money.

I hope you enjoyed my thoughts on FOREX Education and wish you trading success.

There are so many online education degree programs that you can take. You can almost have a customized program in a lot of different areas. A few examples:

Bachelor programs with business administration in various fields.

Master programs in many areas like master of education in fields like educational management and technology in education. Also master of Science in fields like communications technology, information systems and so forth.

Diploma programs can be found in fields like accounting, acquisition and contract management.
Executive graduate certificates programs in business administration, computer information systems and related fields as well as professional accounting.
Undergraduate Certificate programs can be found in accounting, Business administration and computer information systems.

The full list can be very long and other areas like for Healthcare professionals and persons working in the medical sector have a large variety of online courses to choose from. Even specialties for like continued medical education are to be found in online learning programs.

Often classes are both online and on campus. The online classes have usually a great amount of flexibility. The reason is that online classes can be live as well as recorded so students have the flexibility to choose timings and study online or on campus according to their schedule. The literature that is needed are made available online and generally the examinations are conducted both online and on campus.

If you are interested in learning more about online education you can search for information on the internet and other resources. To learn more about distance learning universities, for example Strayer University you can easily find their website in a search on Google and other search engines. Another alternative to find information about a variety of online colleges, universities and distance learning is to go to SchoolsGalore.

When universities adopted online learning as an important media for imparting distance education, the quality of the online courses that are offered has become as good as traditional classroom courses. A short distance to a college for your online education needs is beneficial as you can actually meet with teachers if you want. It is the same as when you are looking for an offline course, take your time for some research so you get the best alternative for your online college education. Except from Strayer University, the University of Phoenix is the leading university for getting a college education online.

The online colleges and schools vary much in course length, curriculum, tuition costs, and possibilities of college loans, therefore it is always wise to carefully review online computer education courses. In many cases there are financial assistance available to students such as scholarships, active military duty scholarships, VA benefits, state and federal grants, loans and work study assistance and so on.

During the last decade the online education has rapidly evolved and courses are available for a variety of subjects. The fields available are seemingly limitless.

Forex Education – Getting the Right Education for Success Part 1

Posted by admin | 08/08/10 | Tagged Education

Interested in Learning More about Internet Marketing Try Commission Blueprint 2.0 here.

Consider this fact:

Despite the vast amount of FOREX education available, the bulk of traders still lose.

The reason for this is most of the accepted wisdom does not work.

Here we will look at the FOREX education you need and a simple system that’s FREE That can make you big consistent profits.

Before we start looking at FOREX education itself, lets look at the equations you need to be successful trading FOREX.

Equation for success 1

Robust Method + Confidence + Discipline = Long term currency success.

Now, when you trade you need a method that’s simple and you understand.

Why?

Because if you want to make money trading you are going to have short term losses and you need to the discipline to follow your method when these occur.

If you don’t you will not have a method at all.

Many traders FOREX Education involves following systems they don’t understand or gurus and they simply can’t stick with them and fail.

Equation for success 2

Your method needs to have the following characteristics:

Liquidate losers quickly + Run Profits

Obvious one, but today people receive FOREX education that teaches them to trade short term and even worse day trade.

We have written about this in our other articles and it’s a waste of time. You won’t win, it will just be expensive FOREX education!

Why?

Because, the time frame is to short and moves are random.

You may have profits but you can’t run them in a day and they can never cover your inevitable losses and high transaction costs you accumulate.

Avoid FOREX Education that teaches you short term trading unless you like losing your money

The Education You Need

Most of the Education is free and on the net.

FOREX Education you don’t need

There are of course many e-books and courses but most of these are worthless ( only buy one which has a real track record and the seller is a trader ) and there are few of these around.

In part 2 of this article we will cover a system you can learn yourself that is used by many of the worlds top traders and it’s simple to apply and understand.

Learn this fact

There is no correlation between how complicated a method and how successful it is.

In fact, the opposite is true, the more complicated a system is the more likely it is to break in the face of ever changing brutal market conditions.

Finally, as we have said you need to understand how your method works (this is easier with a simple system) as you need confidence to follow it with iron discipline to eventual currency trading success.

Reading

The only material we recommend you buy is classic works by traders who have been at the sharp end and here are some good ones

Market Wizards & The New Market Wizards – Jack schwager

Great books!

Full of inspiration, as the top traders in the world share their wisdom on how they made millions or even billions trading FOREX and other markets

Anything By Jake Bernstein

Focuses on the importance of discipline and mental attitude a key to success.

Trader Vic – Vic Sperandeo

Perhaps my favourite book of all. Packed with common sense from cover to cover from one of the true great traders.

They will cost you about $50.00 and that’s money well spent for the type of FOREX Education they give.

A system for profit

In part 2 of this article your FOREX education will continue, when we start looking at a specific method that you can apply for bigger FOREX profits and currency trading success.

Performance Based Education Funding: Towards Measurable Results in Education

Posted by admin | 01/08/10 | Tagged Education

Interested in Learning More about Internet Marketing Try Commission Blueprint 2.0 here.

Recently, there has been an impetus to place for-profit performance-markers in the not-for-profit education sector. While everyone agrees that public money should only be spent on programs, initiatives, and teachers that produce results, finding an accurate and realistic means for measuring pedagogy has proved difficult.

The difficulty in finding a middle ground hasn’t stopped the NCLB commission—led by Roy E. Barnes and Tommy Thompson—from suggesting that teachers and principals should be judged by their students’ test scores. In addition, the NCLB commission suggested that the performance of specific students be tracked from year to year. In response to the aggressive means that the NCLB commission is seeking to place on higher education, Edward J. McElroy—president of the American Federation of Teachers—stated that: “there is no reliable assessment systems(s) to tie student achievement to teacher performance.”1

Meanwhile in New York State, Eliot Spitzer and Manuel Rivera have carved out an additional $7 billion a year—which will boost the total yearly spend to $24.8 billion by 2010—for “performance based” school funding. In an effort to do away with the antiquated funding that New York State currently employs, each of the State’s school districts are obligated to sign a “contract of excellence” in order to secure funding. The push towards a measurably pedagogic system provides the education system with more funding, while making superintendents, administrators, and teachers accountable.

In contrast to the tact that the NCLB commission has taken, Spitzer’s approach to policy change and implementation has been more collaborative in nature: especially when compared with former Governor Pataki.

Commissioner of Education Richard P. Mills noted that Gov Spitzer delivered his speech in the education department building, included regents on his transition team, and invited board members to

help lead the charge for his agenda…. “He’s offering a partnership. It’s not always been like this,” Mr Mills said. “He’s giving us strong leadership. This is how it’s done.” 2

On a more global scale, the push towards performance-based education has been promoted as a means for maintaining the competitive work force, and the quality of life of the United States Of America. On December 14, 2006 the New Commission on the Skills of the American Workforce panel recommended that schools be operated by independent contractors, as well as giving states funding power, rather than local school districts. This panel is composed of New York City schools chancellor, Joel I. Klein; two former labor secretaries, William E. Brock, a Republican, and Ray Marshall, a Democrat; two former federal education secretaries, Rod Paige, a Republican, and Richard W. Riley, a Democrat and others. The panel’s recommendation comes in the wake of many claims that the American workforce is becoming less competitive. The AFT executive vice president, Antonia Cortese, noted that the proposals had ‘’some seriously flawed ideas with faddish allure that won’t produce better academic results .”3

Regardless of how we feel about performance based education initiatives, it is worth noting that the topic has garnered the attention of heavy-weight public figures from across the country. It is also worth noting that we’ve seen more performance-based education initiatives implemented in the past few years than in the previous decade. It remains to be seen how the country as a whole will move towards performance based education funding as a standard, rather than an idea.

Arts Education Suffering in San Jose Schools

Posted by admin | 24/07/10 | Tagged Education

Interested in Learning More about Internet Marketing Try Commission Blueprint 2.0 here.

Art programs, such as art appreciation, drama, theater and music, have been suffering across the nation for 30 years, as school officials concentrate on the basics of learning. With federal programs, such as No Child Left Behind, even more focus has been placed on basic learning skills, which excludes the arts. This also means that any extra funding is funneled into these basic learning programs in order to meet state and federal-set standards. Arts education is one of the standards that should be met by schools within the state of California, yet the state does not impose penalties on schools that do not met these particular standards.

A statewide survey by SRI International concluded that of the 1,123 schools surveyed:

• 89 percent failed to meet state standards for arts education;

• Nearly 1/3 offered no art education coursework that met state standards;

• 61 percent had no full-time arts specialist, with classroom teachers without adequate training teaching arts education at the elementary level;

• Kindergarten through 12 enrollment in music classes declined by 37 percent over a five-year period, ending last June; and

• Poor schools have the least access to arts education; whereas better income schools (where parents can afford private lessons) are more apt to have it.

Chris Funk is the San Jose schools’ principal of Lincoln High School, a stellar magnet arts school. He believes that the more San Jose schools’ students are exposed to the arts the better they will do in testing within other coursework.

Studies have proven that a strong arts program can be linked to improvement in everything from math skills to truancy. Arts education in elementary and secondary schools produce skilled sculptors, actors, musicians, singers and so many other arts-related Careers. The arts also improve the socialization skills of students.

Bill Eriendson, assistant superintendent of the San Jose schools, stated that the level of funding for the arts is inadequate. Last year, the state budgeted $500 million for the arts and physical education; however, this amount was a one-time deal. The norm is $105 million, which is about $15 per student. According to Eriendson, the San Jose schools requires about $800,000 to restore just their music programs at the elementary San Jose schools. This figure does not include the purchase of instruments.

San Jose schools are a good representation of the statewide findings. Besides trying to meet state and federal standards in the basic coursework, the San Jose schools were hit with Proposition 13 that was passed in 1978, which imposed tax cuts for Californians and greatly reduced funding for arts Education. The arts were first cut in the secondary San Jose schools and then in the elementary San Jose schools. By the late 1980s, arts education was all but gone in the San Jose schools.

According to Funk, there currently is a waiting list of 225 San Jose schools’ students. He finds San Jose schools’ students are drawn to the dance, theater, music and visual arts programs offered by his school. Without the support of the Lincoln Foundation, which donated $75,000 for this school year, this San Jose schools arts magnet would not exist.
